Karla is the CEO of Undamine Industries and Coal Train she began her career in the Central Highlands Coal Basin in 1988 as an Educator, remaining in this district until 2008 and then relocating to the Rockhampton district. Karla has extensive geographic, demographic and industry based knowledge of the Resource Industry. In her role as an educator she has had an outstanding career and has been selected as a role model for Women in Leadership and Management in Education. Karla has been a member of a number of boards in developing State wide educational initiatives including the implementation of Prep, student assessment and review standards. In her capacity as the ‘Head of School’ for seven years at the Middlemount Community school she had the opportunity to oversee VET within the school community.
For the last five years Karla’s focus has been as the Managing Director of Undamine Industries. Her role has been all encompassing including Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Training, Marketing, Resource Management, Contracts and Tender Management, Quality Management and Business Development. A combination of her thorough understanding of training, learning and outcomes along with her detailed knowledge of the Mining Industry Karla is able to bring to the platform a whole new level of excellence in the Resources Mining Sector.
